Built for the 15-meter sprint
Just point and film
Handheld footage works. Lane C locks onto the wall automatically, even with a moving camera and two climbers in frame — and builds both lanes' runs from a single clip.
Skeletal breakdown
AI pose tracking overlays your movement so you can see exactly where time goes.
Phase splits
Start, middle, finish — splits for every run, with the finish timed to the pad slap.
Speed curve
A smoothed velocity curve for every climb — spot hesitations and dead points instantly.
The real wall
The official IFSC speed route rendered hold-for-hold, true to scale — on analysis, run cards, and share graphics.
Side-by-side compare
Play two runs at once — sync by time to see who's ahead, or by height to compare technique hold-for-hold.
Log every attempt
Not every attempt is on video. Log the rest and tag slipped holds to build an errors-by-hold heatmap. Clean-only filtering keeps a sloppy time from setting a false PR.
Session mode
Prop the phone at the foot of the wall and log every rep with one button — partial ranges and assisted reps included. Attempts logged close together become a session on their own, with metres climbed, clean rate and best time.
Athlete or coach
Answer once at first launch. Lane C sets up the right experience, and your other devices follow via iCloud. Coaches log for a whole squad from one screen — a tile per climber on iPad and Mac.
On-device
Analysis runs on your phone. No upload, no waiting, works at the gym.
Export & share
Export a run card or clip in one tap and share it via AirDrop with your coach or athletes.
Performance tracking
A full training log, not just a stopwatch
Most speed-climbing apps either analyze a video or keep a log of times. Lane C does both. Every run you film gets automatic splits and a speed curve, and every attempt you don't film still goes into the same logbook, with enough detail to see what is actually holding you back.
Every attempt, filmed or not
Log a time in seconds, or let the video set it. Hand-timed and LED times are kept apart from video-measured times, so the numbers you compare are always like for like.
Falls, false starts and partials
Mark each attempt as topped, fell or false start. Log intentional partials from one hold to another, assisted reps with the weight added or taken off, and flag competition runs.
Errors by hold
Tag the hold where you slipped or came off. Over weeks it adds up to a heatmap on the real IFSC route, showing exactly which moves cost you.
Sessions that build themselves
Attempts logged close together become a session automatically, with volume, metres climbed, clean rate and best time. A Live Activity keeps the session on your lock screen while you train.
Clean PRs and trends
Personal bests count clean attempts only, so a slip never sets a false PR. Trend charts follow your total time and every section of the route, with a form scorecard and a suggestion for what to train next.
Built for coaches too
In the coach edition you log for a whole squad from one screen, attribute every attempt to the right athlete, and open each climber's own dashboard and progression.
From video to verdict

Speed-climbing analysis, answered
Do I need special hardware to analyze a speed-climbing run?
No. A normal iPhone is enough — handheld footage works, and a tripod is optional. Lane C locks onto the wall automatically even when the camera moves, and it builds both lanes' runs from a single clip.
Does my video get uploaded to a server?
Never. The whole analysis — pose detection, splits, speed — runs on your device's Neural Engine. Your video is never uploaded anywhere. If you turn on iCloud sync, your runs go to your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.
Which devices does Lane C run on?
iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 17 and later, and Mac with Apple silicon. One App Store download covers all three, and your runs follow you across them via iCloud. Android is in public beta on Google Play.
How does Lane C time the splits?
Splits come from frame-by-frame pose tracking across the official IFSC 15-metre route, and the finish is timed to the pad slap rather than to when you stop moving. Because the timing is derived from video frames, a higher frame rate gives you finer resolution — film at the highest rate your device offers for the tightest numbers.
Which wall and route does it support?
The official IFSC 15-metre speed route, rendered hold-for-hold and true to scale — in the analysis view, on run cards, and in share graphics. It is the standardized route, so every run is comparable to every other.
Can I log speed-climbing attempts without filming them?
Yes. Lane C is a full speed-climbing training log as well as a video analyzer. Log a time for any attempt, mark it topped, fell or false start, record partial ranges and assisted reps, and tag the hold where you slipped. Attempts logged close together are grouped into sessions automatically, and personal bests only count clean attempts.
How is Lane C different from a speed-climbing stopwatch or logbook app?
A stopwatch app gives you a total time you enter or tap yourself. Lane C keeps that log too, but for every run you film it also measures phase splits, a speed curve and pose tracking from the video, on the official IFSC route. Logged and filmed attempts live in one history, so you see both how often you top cleanly and where in the route the time goes.
Is Lane C free?
Lane C is free to download. The free tier includes three video analyses in any 7 days, and logging attempts never counts against it. The Athlete and Coach subscriptions unlock unlimited analysis, and the yearly plans start with a 14-day free trial. There is no account to create. Purchases go through your App Store or Google Play account.
Can I use Lane C to coach a team?
Yes. Pick the coach setup at first launch and you can log a whole squad's attempts from one screen, follow each athlete's dashboard and progression, and compare climbers side by side, all on your own devices. Athletes can send you their analyzed runs as a file via AirDrop or Files. Team sync across devices (Lane Cloud) is in closed testing, and coaches can email us to join the pilot.
Will coaches be able to follow athletes' sessions live?
That is planned for Lane Cloud: a coach view that follows each athlete's session as attempts come in, alongside prescribed sessions and comments on runs. Lane Cloud is in closed testing and there are no dates yet. Today, the coach edition works on the coach's own devices.
